The cute little Button Fern (Pellaea rotundifolia) is an adorable little plant just perfect for an indoor garden. A small evergreen fern with pinnate arching fronds rising and spreading to 12 tall and as wide, each frond is covered with small, slightly-glossy, round, deep green leaves.
This little fern is native to New Zealand, Australia and Norfolk Island USA where it is most frequently found growing on limestone cliffs, and rocky crevices but is occasionally found in drier woodland areas. As an evergreen fern this is perfect for year round interest in an indoor terrarium.
PLANTING AND CARE
Because this is an outdoor plant by nature it benefits from misting to keep it moist and humid. It does not like being waterlogged so water sparingly and allow the soil to dry before watering again.
It likes bright light but is best grown in part shade. Site in locations protected from strong winds.
