The Hemionitis arifolia , or Hearleaf Fern, is a beautfiul, delicate fern from Southeast Asia. Usually found growng as an epiphyte in the wild, this fern clings to the host and spreads using its roots. Its dark glossy heart shaped leaves create a dense clump of foliage. Perfect for ariums or as a standalone house plant. Arifolia prefers partial shade but will be ok in a bright spot without direct sunlight, and is tender. It needs to be kept above 15°C . It needs moist soil soclosed ariums are perfect. Feed with either a fern food or houseplant foliage food every 4 waters during the growing season and every 6 in colder months. Repot every 3 years into houseplant compost.
